Biography:

An internationally known interventionalist, Dr. Hamby has been a practicing cardiologist since 1959. He is the former Director of Interventional Cardiology at St. Francis Hospital, and former Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at South Nassau Communities Hospital. He formerly held the position of Chief of Cardiology at Long Island Jewish Hospital and served as President of the American Heart Association, Nassau County Chapter. Dr. Hamby is a distinguished academic as well as practitioner; he has published over 100 original scholarly articles in the field of cardiology, and authored Anatomical Correlates in Coronary Heart Disease. He has lectured regionally and nationally on a wide range of topics related to heart disease.
