Mouth & Tongue Disorders Center

Mouth and tongue disorders include halitosis (bad breath), canker sores (aphthous stomatitis) and scars known as fibromas. Taste disorders (dysgeusia) include a "bad taste in the mouth" (parageusia). Tongue disorders include glossitis (e.g., geographic tongue) and hairy tongue. Other mouth conditions are leukoplakia, burning mouth syndrome, cheilitis and oral cysts and burns.
