Kelly Shanahan

Dr. Kelly Shanahan is a board certified OB/GYN in private practice in South Lake Tahoe, California. She chairs the OB/GYN department at Barton Memorial Hospital in Lake Tahoe and is a partner in Woman to Woman Health Care, a private medical practice. She had dreamed of becoming a doctor since age 11, when she underwent multiple hospitalizations following a ruptured spleen. Dr. Shanahan credits her parents for the support and encouragement needed to achieve her goal. A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine, Dr. Shanahan did her residency training at Temple University Hospital, where she was an academic chief resident. She has a degree in biology from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Shanahan is a member of the American Medical Women's Association and a fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
